I am using the hardware (it uses an optical encoder wheel) from an Arkanoid spinner control with the optics from a regular serial mouse. The problem is that when I turn the knob very quickly (a frequent occurance in a groovin' game of Tempest) the cursor does not respond and/or jumps around, etc.... What causes this? Is there a good way to fix it? (I have already tried adjusting the sensitivity within MAME). I don't have the original arcade game electronics that go with the Arkanoid spinner. Thanks
