Hidden feature in Ms. Pacman or bug in mame?

hey people try this:

load up Ms. Pacman and add a credit as soon as the game loads (a spit-second after the white grid displays). Start the game and you'll find the maze is blue, not pink!!!!

Is this a hidden feature, or a bug in mame????
