I'm also using Optimame, but I've got swappable panels and I have my rotary joysticks going to the ps/2 port so I couldn't have my spinners going to that since if I unplugged the rotary sticks to swap panels and plug in the spinners it wouldn't work. So what I did was used the serial trackball interface and the serial adaptor for the spinners(mouse) and I have a toggel switch that I wired the 5 volt power for the trackball interface and also the power for the serial port for the mouse(spinners). This works really well and I can switch between the trackball and spinners at any time with no problem. It's also pretty neat looking too since I mounted the switch on the front of my panel under the overhang of the top. You can't even see the switch unless you stand away from the panel some. Hope I answered your question. :)

Game on!!

: I know I can't have a trackball and spinner running at the same time due to data corruption. I've heard you guys talking about using a switch to select either device.

: Do I need to switch all 4 wires for each device using some sort of relay or should I just switch the +5VDC on/off for each device (2 switches)?
