I never found cocktail games to be that comfortable to play for extended periods of time. The controls always felt cramped to me, plus looking down for long periods of time tends to cause neck cramps. On the flipside, they are smaller, and easier to conceal in a house (a tablecloth does wonders). Since you already have an upright, and you can do it fairly inexpensively, I would go for it. However, I wouldn't do it if it were my first project...

: Ok, here is the deal. I have had my upright pretty much complete for a while. Summer is coming up, and I will have a little free time to tool around on my cab. However, I have been looking at some examples of homemade cocktail cabs, and they look pretty cool. Projects like Markade and such, look relativly easy, and very nice. I was wondering though, how are cocktail cabinets play wise? It has been years since I have played one. I think they would be great for alternating 2-player games, but overall, I'm not sure. I was just wondering what you guys thought. Should I build one, or just focus on the upright? Of course I would keep the upright if I did build a cocktail, but it would be a difficult task to move the U3100 from one to the other. Anyways, any help is much appreciated.
