: : my original idea is to take my NES and an old 19" TV that i dont use, hook a couple of Advantage sticks to the NES and build a cab around the whole shebang. whammo, no money spent! but with the Advantage you're dealing with a false feeling of arcade coolness. Anybody out there build arcade control panels that interface with the console's actual hardware instead of
: : the PC?
: Yes, I have a Sega Genesis controler thats wired for the controls in my cabinet. PSX, Genesis, and Nintendo controlers can all be hacked the same way. There is a site showing how to hack Playstation (PSX) controlers in the Examples section
+ Cool! so you mean you have the arcade stick wired into your genesis pad, and then the pad plugged into the sega just like normal? this is what i meant, in case i was misread. i'm going to set it all up with the real NES inside. A guy just offered me a free zaxxon caibent to do it in, too!!!!
thanks! keep the info coming!
