Thanks for the comments, but I think I have you beat in the lack of talent market (never did get that birdhouse built quite right in shop class). Plus, unfortunately, I don't know of any auctions near Rochester, NY. The closet game auction I know of is in NJ. Great ideas though, and an inspiring message (hmmm... maybe if I picked up the cabinet via ebay...)I'll definitely keep the vendors you mention in mind.
