the hole the monitor mounts in should be 18.5 inches wide by 14.5 inches high. there will be two brackets on the U3100 monuted on the bottom sides from the factory, these will have to be removed and replaced on the front sides of the frame, I had to take my U3100 monitor down to the local operator which showed me that, I was confused about the brackets you see.
Send Me Direct Email, saturn@naples.net if you need any more U3100 info. Also look at the new Wells Gardner XGA monitors, the 19" is $355 which is even cheaper than the U3100 and the dot pitch is .39 vs the bad .71 in the U3100. it mounts the same way, and you will be much happier with it if you are in windows a lot. the U3100 is quite fuzzy and my friend with thick glasses could even see the dot pitch from the normal distance. I am just unhappy i bought mine 1 week before the new XGAs came out :(

: Anyone know a web site with a good step by step guide on how to mount a U3100 in a custom built cabinet?

: Also wondering if anyone has the physical dimensions (width, height, and depth) as I am designing the cabinet from scratch and I would like it to be a horiz./vert. rotating monitor so I have to make sure I give it "spinning" room.

: Thanks!
