Actually, the PowerRamps go through the Keyboard port. That's what makes them an easy hack for
arcade controls--they're set up by default to map button presses to keypresses. Their controllers do not have ghosting problems.
Even though the PowerRamps come with software, you don't need to use it. You can reconfigure them on the fly by pressing the program button, the button you want to reprogram, and then the keyboard key you want that button to be!
