ARCADEOS circuit building

I bought all the neccessary parts from Radio Shack and put together Brian's "signal cutting" circuit. Unfortunately, when I used the montest.exe, I got no indications at all that it worked. Has anyone else built the circuits? I am considering re-trying, but this time I am going to build the relay circuit. Again, anyone have any luck?

One thing I noticed. Twice on his page, Brian refers to pin 12 as being the acknowledge pin and in the diagram pin 10 is the acknowledge pin. Again, anyone tried this yet?
