7" circumference trackball Is this big enough?

Hello everyone. I found a trackball online for $12.95 that is 7" in circumference (approx. 2.3" diameter). Do you think this would be big enough to interface and use as a trackball for games? How big and how much is the CompUSA trackball everyone is using? Thanks.
