I'm guessing that your brother already had available all the materials he needed or managed to get some stuff for free. Listen to this: My ENTIRE project is started from scratch. 100%. No PC to start with, no cabinet, no nothing. Yet, this whole project including pc w/10.2 gig HD, cabinet, encoder, etc. will cost me no more $400. I've hunted down the best deals on everything I can. You have to understand, my mother reinvented bargain shopping. Yard sales and Save-A-Lot are ways of life for her. She taught me well. Wish I coulda done all this for $30. Later dude.
