I've got the Super 8's from Happ Controls and I used 3/4" wood on my panel. I routered out .5 inch of the wood and that worked really well.

: I am really getting into my sidewinder hacks now. I have bought the wood which is 5/8" thick. What is the ideal thickness for an ultimate joystick (happ's of course)so I know how much to route out.
