Anyone have probs using mame on arcade monitor in 16-bit?

I've only just downloaded the lastest mame beta, for use in my mame cabinet however when using certain NeoGeo games eg KOF, Neo Turf Masters in 16-bit colour I get only one half on the image displayed which has been stretched to fill the screen.

Does this happen to anyone else and can it be cured????
