Shell out in your program and do the command "mame -listfull > roms.txt" read in roms.txt and extract the info you need. That way Mame tells all you need to know, and it's always up to date.
: I am developing an application which we are all going to love, trust me it will be worth the wait!, I should have it finished in about 2-3 weeks, Im not letting anything go on what it is, but you guys will be the first to know when its finished :o) - However you can help me in the mean time, I need a source on the web for a definative up-to-date list of all mame roms (including rom names/clones - ie a definative list all zip files for the rom dir) which is updated per release, can anyone help?
