: Here was my plan:

: -getting a fully functional jamma cabinet for $100 (i have one lined up, tested, ready for me to give money)
: -wiring control panel to some sort of "switch board"
: -to switchboard wire two daisy chained sidewinders to hook up to pc on one "switch" and on other "switch" wire jamma harness which is hooked to arcade monitor

Sounds like it'll work

: -from pc wire to both a pc monitor and an arcade monitor (

:Questions: to wire to an arcade monitor is it necessary to get a special graphics card with tv out or can you just wire it in from your pc's monitor out?

It will wire into the monitor out.

:Also, do graphics cards with tv out have a special adapter to hook to a tv or is it essentially the same as hooking to a monitor?

A card with TV out will usually come with a special cable to hook to a TV, the connector for it will usually be below the monitor connector.

:When I hook my monitor into my pc, am I hooking it into the video card?)

Yes

: -I want a separate monitor also hooked up so I can still use my computer for computing needs.

no problem, though you need to run one at a time, becuase an arcade monitor uses a different frequency than a computer monitor. If you leave the arcade monitor on in windows you'll damage it, if you're running ArcadeOS with your PC monitor on you'll damage it.

: -I want to be able to run emulators through the pc and jamma through the original cab making this a mame/jamma machine.

I'm going that route myself

: -I want to be able to run windows on my arcade monitor so I can use the sidewinders. THIS IS MY REAL DILEMMA! IF I CAN'T BOOT UP TO WINDOWS ON AN ARCADE MONITOR HOW CAN I USE MY SIDEWINDER CONTROL PANEL?

Placing ArcadeOS in your startup folder might work... there is an older video card that had a "bug" that when you plugged in the TV-out it caused the wrong frequency to go to the monitor, the frequency it outputs is compatable with an arcade monitor.

:I also want to be able to run NeoRageX on my cabinet. I heard as long as it is dos I can run any program through arcadeOS on my arcade monitor. Is this true?

most DOS programs can be run through ArcadeOS without trouble.

: Any help would be great. Thanks for reading!
