Its all personal choice, how deep your wallet is, and what you want the final outcome to be. I want to recreate the real feel - so I have a cabinet, working coin doors, and real controls.

If you're happy with the Gravis, then there is no reason for you to change. On the other hand, if you want to use real arcade joysticks and buttons then you need to use a keyboard encoder (or some other hack).


: I have a Gravis Phoenix which I think would make a great hack if I dared destroy it. They are somewhat rare now. Similar concept to a Powerramp.
