Removing the "userquit:" label

A while back someone posted a message on how to remove the OK screens in mame. He spoke of removing the userquit: label. I don't understand how to do this correctly (when I try to compile I get an error message). What exactly do I need to do to the line towards the end of mame.c that says:

userquit:
