: Hello everyone. A guy I know is offering me a perfectly working 19" jamma cabinet with a SF2 control panel for $100. I tested it out and it works great. What I want to do is convert it to a mame/emulator cabinet but keep the jamma and monitor intact so I can switch between jamma and mame. Here is what I want to do:

: -Hook up a pc somehow so that I can run mame and other emus on the cab and be able to switch between jamma and pc.

: -Hook up a monitor outside of the cabinet for using my pc with for non-gaming things.

: -Have a slide-out drawer with keyboard.

: Basically to summarize, what I want to do is have a pc, arcade cabinet in one with an outside monitor to use the pc with while using the arcade monitor and controls to play the games with. Can this be done? I've read pc2jamma and it seems confusing to me. Any help would be appreciated.

The main thing you need to do is have a switchbox for the controls. I would use a Centronics box since it allows you to switch 35 lines at once. Basically you would use the output of the box to goto all of the controls. And run your Jamma and PC controls through the 2 inputs. Then all you have to do is turn a switch to change between gaming systems. Sorry I cant go into more detail at the moment but I have to leave for work..... I can give more details later if someone else does not take care of it before I get back:-)
