I have hacked a couple playstation joys. I suggest using non-sony brand joys. Sony brand joys have plastic touchpoints, can't solder to them. Non-sony brand joys are cheaper, generally, and have a lot better solder points to use. I picked some cheap ones up to hack at toys-r-us for about $6 each. They were cheap and had good solder points to attach wires to. Hope this helps.Game on!!
