how to change movie formats....

Hey guys. Got a media question for ya. I want to have the MAME movie start on boot up of my arcade machine. I need the file to be .AVI but it only comes in .MOV and .MPG formats. Anyone know of a program to convert these to a .AVI??? Any info you can post would be great. Thnaks. GAME ON!
