If you are not using all 72 inputs, Hagstrom does sell cables that fit on the header on the KE72. They are 12 pins wide. I'm only using 22 inputs so I use these. They are very easy to use since the one end is just 22 gauge stranded wire....ready to strip and connect.

You could use atleast 4 of these with no problem - obviously giving you 48 connections. This is a bit easier than hacking an IDE cable.

: I used a SCSI cable and divided the wires up for attachment to the controller
