If you have a friend that works at a photo lab or some film department ask for a chemical called PEC-12. It's used for cleaning negatives and works great on removing ink, and sticker labels from games. I've used Goo Gone also, but the photo chemical does a much better job and dries clean. Good luck.

: I am hooked! I just began to gut my old Gyrus cabinet (also Donkey Kong also Magic Sword, IMHO unrestorable) and am working on the control panel.

: Sorry if I am a common question, but how do you remover aged gooey vinyl backed crap from an old control panel? Do they make stuff that will take it off more easily?

: Uggh! What a mess. Anyway, my goal is to make a very simple 1 4way joystick and two buttons mame box that plays nothing but maze and shooter verticle games.

: I'm still working on a name!

: Take it Easy,
