I didn't have to cut them too cleanly. The decal paper is clear. The Alps printer has the ability to print white inks. Here's how I did it:
First I print a solid white silhouette of the decal. Then I print the colors on top of that. That way the Mappy Mouse and other white parts (like the eyes) come out white. Since the inks (they're not really inks. It's like a plastic film that melts onto the paper) are totally water proof I can dip the decal paper in water and apply it to the MAME box. Much like the decals that come with model airplanes. Then I applied a few coats of clear polyurathane on the MAME box top to avoid scratches and viola! Decals on a MAME box!

: Andy,
: First off, the cabinet looks awesome. Got a question about your "MAME" decals, though. You said on your page that you used this specialized printer with waterproof inks on decal paper, but what I'm wondering is how you cut the decals out so cleanly?
