The Hagstrom KE72-T is a better choice. I saw you diagram of what you want to do, It appears to me you need the KE72-T, you will have to ask someone more skilled then me about how to get a Trackball and Spinner working off the Trackball interface of the Encoder. The Hagstrom encoders are basically dummy proof, easy to understand and wire up.
