Ya, it was expensive, but it seems to work.

If you run your Joysticks through the KE72, you will limit your multiplayer capabilities. If player ONE moves diaginal while pressing the fire button, this will only leave one input left for player TWO. You are limited to the number of keys on a keyboard that you can press simultainiously.
Some of the Hagstroms and keyboard hacks are like this.

On the other hand, you can't have 20 different buttons for ESC and TAB and etc with the UGCI.

Each board has its strengths. I let each one handle what does best.

By the way, you can program one button on the KE72 to perform up to 32 keystrokes. I made 2 TURBO FIRE buttons. Hit it once and it enters 32 Ctrl keystrokes into the mix. I am still building my cab. Once it is done, I'll let you know if it works as well as I hope it does!
