Your best bet would probably be the Keyboard or PS/2 mouse. Look at: http://www.networktechinc.com/technote.html

They show the pinouts that you are interested in, there are 3 free pins on the Keyboard and the mouse cable that should work for you.


: I just migrated my system from using a dedicated PC to a shared system utilizing a switchbox. The switchbox controls keyboard and monitor switching. What I would also like to switch is audio, so that when I switch to the Cab, the audio feed goes there instead of to my PC speakers. My immediate thought is to use any unused pins on either the KB or VGA runs to "piggyback" the audio signal to the cab, and then bust it out from there.

: Are there unused pins on either of these runs that can be used for this purpose? I also have a sensation that there might be some crossover line noise from the VGA to audio signals over the run, but I'll try it first and find out the old fashioned way- experimentation.

: Any help would be appreciated.
