Look at the circuitboard for the encoder on the trackball. The one I have has HAPPS screenprinted on it.

Also, call HAPPS and ask for tech support. I've talked to them a few times and they are very helpful. If it is one of theirs, they can pull a schematic and get you a pin out...hopefully.

The KE72.txt that came with your KE72 will show the pinout for your trackball input. You should be able to wire it from there...

: I purchased the Hagstrom KE 72T Keyboard encorder to use with a Happ Trackball. I Assumed that the trackball I had was a Happ, but Now I'm not that sure.

: I got this tackball from an old arcade machine. It has a 3-4' translucent blue ball. The design looks almost identical to the ones on the current Happ model. However, I
: noticed that the connectors are different. The pins are spaced closer together than that of the KE72 interface cable. These connectors have no labels.

: Has anyone had the same situation? Does anyone have and idea what trackball this may be. I noticed that each circuit board has 5 pins and the 5th pin is bent. I have
: know idea what this pin might be.
: My guess is that It may be an old Happ trackball (>8 years).

: Any guesses... Thanks
