: Is there such a thing as an S-Video adapter??

I just purchased a TView Micro adapter at CompUSA for US$70. It does 640x480x60hz VGA to NTSC/PAL video. I haven't tried it yet (I will in six hours or so when I'm off of work). It includes RCA and S-Video connectors. The more expensive versions do higher resolutions and refresh rates, but for games like MAME and Connectix VGS 640x480 is OK.

Oh...I'm going to try it on my desktop G3 Macintosh but it's supposed to take any VGA signal with that res/refresh rate and convert it to NTSC. If any Mac owners are going to try this you need a shareware extension like Multi-Resolutions to specify the unsupported res/refresh. Windows folks can just set that in their Desktop properties.
