A long time ago I have played around with joyemu to do the same as you are trying but then to make the warrior spinner work with some emus thad did not support a mouse. If I remember correctly there was a configuration program that comes with joyemu in the later versions. Maybe there you can change some settings.
It worked for me somewhat but the control was never really good so I stopped using it...
