: Now that my cab is done, I wanted to put labels on my control panel, so I ordered a button labeling kit from a video game conversion place. The kit contained a sheet of self sticking labels, enough for 20 games! However, even though I have 7 buttons per joystick (it's a HotRod control panel permanently mounted in my cab), MAME plays too many different games for me to figure out a way to label the buttons that makes sense. Can I get some posts on how other people labeled their control panel buttons?

: Thanks!

I use a small Rolodex with the button controls written on it. That way when my friends come over and play they just flip to the alphabetized (sp?) card to find out that the red button is jump for Donkey Kong. Also, I only have to update one card (either edit or add it) If I want to add, subtract or change a game. Also, I label how multiple player games work... ie.. does the second player used the right stick (my control has two:) or both players use the left (as always depends on the game).

A low tech solution that works out pretty nice.

Hope this helps,

Jim K.
