: I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that could capture an AVI or MPG of Mame running a game? I would like to capture the entire demo loop of all the games (eventually, yes will take a VERY long time). I think it would be nice to have this on a cabinet as a screen saver when someone isn't playing. Or perhaps down the road someone could make a 3D interface and have these playing on the virtual cabinets as you go by.

Arcade@Home front end has a feature similar (sp) to this already but it uses stills. It runs like a screen saver showing screenshots and when you see a game you want to play you hit a key. I suppose if it can be done with screen shots it could be done with video.. might need like a Flash program or something... maybe fire off a letter to Tim Eckel.. he could let you in on how he did it.
