Perhaps the monitor (Or Video Card) you are using is having refresh problems with the resolutions those games run in? MAME runs games in a plethera of exotic resolutions...

: (joys of NYC!!). But my MAME machine and my primary pc are located seperately and they both show the same problem for the same games. I've noticed it for Rally X and Pitfall 2 but not for other games. It seems to happen when the screen changes not when the screen is fixed so it might be some kind of redraw problem. Has anybody else had this problem before?
