You need a 1 1/8" bit. You can get a spade bit for a few bucks but if you want a much better one get a woodeater. It is like a spade bit but mmmuuuuuucccchhh better. But they are not cheap....probably around $15-20 for a good namebrand like Lennox or Greenlee. Avoid holesaw bits as they will not be as accurate.
