What specs does a monitor need to meet in order to sync low enough for a game board?

: : There has been plenty of discussion about making our computers work with Standard res arcade monitors, but is the reverse possible?

: Well yes and no. Modern monitors are not true Multisync and will not sync at a low enough frequency to run from a game board. Some older ones will, the NEC Multisync being the best example. It would be quite difficult to find PC monitors that will work these days. Many old CGA monitors will work, and some EGA, especially the ones that have a dual D-Connector and Phone plug input. These are great for game boards but rare.
