um.....

no offense but I wouldn't have posted this on the message board. The MAME agreement specifically warns against putting all ROMS on a CD and especially while packaged with the emulator. I'm sure this does happen all the time, but let's not publicize the fact. I am greatful as hell that MAME is there and the ROMS are still easy to obtain. If this practice continues (especially with people posting it happens), surely their will be legal hassels.

Personally, I think ARCADE 2000 should be blamed. If they are doing this for every customer, they will be the ones to kill the MAME project. Thanks alot guys.

Anybody remember when Daves had ROMS on them? This is a good example of what could happen everywhere. Then people won't bitch at all about having to wait through a 56K connection because you won't be able to find them, let alone download them.

...and remember to click those ads!

: Just wanted to post an open-ended thanks to Arcade2000 for burning off a CDR with all of the B15 roms, samples, configs, and backdrops. This is an incredible service that saved countless nights at 56K baud trying to obtain a complete set for MAME. My returned CDR and jewel case (return postage paid by HIM) was professionally labeled as well. His kindness and devotion to proliferating classic gaming is amazing. Thanks Jeff.
