Ok, I have recently gotten renewed interest in FINISHING my Barcade! project (http://barcade.dhs.org), due
to the new release of Mame (with APB and The Simpsons. WHOOT!), but mostly because
of the news that you can DAISY-CHAIN Hagstrom's Keyboard Encoders and get 48
discrete inputs. I'm trying to find out, however, whether that's all I need, or if I should
go with like 44 inputs and a small matrix for function keys, etc.
Here's a list of the inputs I KNOW I need for my mame machine, lemme know if I'm
missing any: (Oh, in case you didn't know, it's 4 joystics, 6 buttons each and a trackball! (Maybe a spinner too))
p1Up, p1Down, p1Left, p1Right, p1Button1, p1Button2, p1Button3, p1Button4, p1Button5, p1Button6
p2Up, p2Down, p2Left, p2Right, p2Button1, p2Button2, p2Button3, p2Button4, p2Button5, p2Button6

= 52 keys. Oh well, I guess I answered my own question. :)
But if I'm missing any keys, lemme know, and if you have an idea for the input/matrix setup, let me
know as well (I'll give you credit on the Barcade! page).
Also, the Barcade! page should resume normal updates with a COMPLETE overhaul starting sometime this week
