Even better if you get ahold of some SNES or PSX controllers...they wire up just as easy and have a lot more buttons (8 for SNES, 10 for PSX). With that, you will have buttons for everything (Escape, Pause, Tab, F2) and STILL more than enough for the games!

Good Luck,

Dennis

: I had the same problem. I tried diodes too, which did
: not prevent key blocking. The most I ever got out of a
: keyboard hack without blocking was 6 simultaneous inputs
: (when the joystick is held diagonal while holding down
: four buttons). For me, the keyboard hack wasn't worth
: the time I spent on it. If you're a cheapskate like me,
: I would suggest hacking some Nintendo controllers and
: using Direct Pad Pro. I bought 2 controllers for $1 each
: at Funcoland and connected them both to the parallel port.
: It works really well because you can connect four buttons
: for each controller using A, B, select, and start.
