Wow, thanks for the info. I just got my wife's system (K6-2 400, 64MB, SB32, PSX Controllers) setup as a beta-test for the arcade machine. It's running a STRIPPED down Win98 (ran ROM2 right after installation to remove IE and all those other worthless features), and am using ArcadeOS as a front end. Using Ati Xpert@Play 98 for video card (running on TV).

Will see how the games run...just downloaded AMame and am transferring some games over the network.

What I want to do is run a high-end game on her K6-2 400 and on my Celery 450 and compare the FPS just to get an idea of what offers the best performance. Only thing I won't know is how the 128k onboard cache on a K6-3 affects emulation.

Thanks again,

Dennis

: : Really? KOF98 wouldn't even load when I had 96. Maybe you're running under pure dos?

: : : 128 megs??? I've got a P3 450 with 64 megs, and I haven't had ANY trouble playing even the biggest games! But memory is still cheaper than over-priced processors, isn't it?

: Running AMAME (DOS) with an Arcade@Home front-end (WIN) in an Win98 environment.....Of course, I have NOTHING on the computer but MAME (it's a dedicated cabinet).....Using a built-in HotRod control panel, so I don't even have any extra drivers to clog up the system....
