Look through the grille on top, and you'll see how much the CRT takes up, then get it home and shine a flashlight through the top and see how much the PCB takes up.
: I did think of taking the casing off but was worried that once I got it off it still wouldn't fit and with my luck would screw it up somehow and couldn't take it back.
