Most of these problems with win2000 like audio/video problems are really because of crappy drivers.... There has not been enough time for developers to churn out good stable optimised hardware drivers for a lot of hardware. This should improve in the next few months as developers are able to come up with better drivers. Maybe wait a but and they try it out again.
: Just for reference. i originally put in Win2k on my cab cause I am using a Dual P2 motherboard in it, and sadly, it didnt perform as well as I would have wanted. Audio stutters a lot and I was unable to find where to turn off the idiot options in win2k, so as soon as I get crazy on my buttons assigned to Shift for example, it pops me outta mame and shows a menu about enabling stickykeys.
: Pain in the ass. so I went back to win98se. Prolly even drop that machien to win95 for better compatability. Dunno fer sure yet though.
: Mahcine is running 2 P2-333@375, 256MB RAM so I know that aint the prob with the audio stuttering.
