I have no idea about that, but I do know that the Asus Geforce card uses a Chrontel CH7005 vga to ntsc encoder. It will work in dos and windows and will detect the present of a tv on bootup.
The quality should be very good an earlier version of this chip was used for tv-output on the pure3d which I found much better (more saturated) than my all-in-wonder pro. The problem with ATI tv-out is the impact2 chip uses a really crappy DAC resulting in a washed out picture. The Chrontel chip has a 9 bit dac resulting in a much more vivid picture.
I took a look at the data-sheet and it seems it supports resolutions from 512x384 to 800x600.
