So tell me, how does Ms Pac Man work on that card?
Does it scale fullscreen properly?
And are you using mame dos or mame32?
Thanks.

Yeah, -noscanlines is a must. The TV will make it's own scanlines. leave them turned on in MAME and you get one ugly display.

On my site there is a link to a page at displaymate.com with video test patterns. Compare how they look on the TV to how they look on your monitor and you'll get an idea of how much adjusting you do or don't need. Would be good for someone using an arcade monitor too.

Here's that link.

Note to Saint: might want to put this one in the faq

Some roms have built in test patterns if you take the time to explore the service menu. But I haven't found one as good as these samples anyway.

46" sounds like a hell of a star wars monitor. Must be hard to go back to playing on the computer monitor after that.

: The pics of the different games running on your tv setup was enough to get me further interested in trying this setup myself.

: I just finished building a new system to use as my main home system and it has a Creative TNT2 Ultra card. After seeing your new pics I decided to try and see how this would look using the svideo out. I hooked the system up to my 46" projection and fired up mame and tried out a few roms and was pretty impressed with the results. The games looked pretty darn good without doing *ANY* adjustments on the tv and with only using the -noscanlines option in mame. I couldn't believe how good Star Wars looked. My guess is I could make it look alot better tweaking the settings on the TV. I'm also sure it is gonna look much better using a tube TV but the projection is all I have right now with S-video to try it out with.

: Thanks again for sharing your cab design with us.
