I have a strange problem going on that has been with me know for the last
2 Arcadeos's. I run Arcadeos to my arcade monitor (first time)
evrything runs fine. . I then quit out of it(fine). Now,
upon loading it for a second time, it runs real slow. Even
the normal 3 beeps(which come one after another) are
spaced apart.(beep. . . beep. . . beep). Evrything goes
to the arcade monitor fine, but slow.Strange! What now
gets me is that I have this little utility called
Ram Booster, which upon executing, free's up ram. . great
for running games.(this program, by the way, is not causing
the problem) What I notice though, in this rambooster
program, is that it has a listing called CPU USAGE. Now,
before executing arcadeos, the CPU USAGE says 0% or
1 or 2, something very little. After running arcadeos
and quitting, then running rambooster. . it says CPU
USAGE 100%(by the way, now my computer is running really
slow). What I gather, is something in Arcadeos/dos
or something in arcadeos is eating up my processor.
It will do this until I restart my computer, then
everything is fine. . .until I start up arcadeos again.
Whats up experts? How do I know what is eating
my processor? My specs are:Pentium2 300mhz 96megs/ram
Ati expert 128 16 meg. . so I am not lacking on the
computer side. Also, other apps and games(quake, etc)
do not cause this sloooooow "thing". Sorry if I
sound drunk, but this is really frustrating. Please help.
