: I would like some advice on adding a spinner to a joystick control.

: Finally, everything I have found so far on spinners mentions using a gutted mouse or trackball
: and interfacing to the PS2 mouse or serial port. Is there any way to avoid running another cable
: by running the spinner outputs to the keyboard right or left arrow positions on the keyboard encoder.

This is not really the same, but I'm trying to add a spinner to my HotRod control panel by stealing the one from a Wingman Warrior joystick ($10 new on Ebay!). Comes with the encoder as well as a serial and game port cable attached. I just going to add a different shaft and knob. This seems like a VERY easy way to get a nice spinner.....any comments on whether or not I'm on the right track?
