I assume you're talking about the Molex connectors where you
put the ends on the wire and then snap them into the plastic
housing? The cheap crimper should be fine. On projects I care
about I usually solder the connecter after I crimp it. Just let
a little solder get wicked into the crimped area.

On my cabinet I used terminal blocks where you
screw down the wires. I prefer this because it's
easier to fix, and change things.
