Sorry to dash your hopes, but MAME will run like SHIT on that computer. Yes even the old 80s games like Defender and Tron will choke. However, Retrocade will run well, and so will a few other tightly coded emulators.

: 1. How well does MAME run on a 486-120? Will be getting a free motherboard, processor, RAM (32MB), hard drive, and ET4000 2MB VLB Video Card in a few weeks. Would like to use this as a start for a computer in the cabinet, but am not sure how games will run on such a machine...plan on upgrading it to a K6-2 400, but that won't be for a while.

: 2. Am thinking of using the SNESpad wiring for controls (no worry about ghosting, don't have to spend any money since I got the parts here, etc). Good idea? ...or not?

: Thanks,

: Dennis
