Hi,

Any plans to make a steering wheel? ;-)

thanks
Reg

: Excellent suggestion. This design has been optimized with the new CP builder in mind, so it keeps the sizes of all the components to their bare minimums. I am also working with the dimensional limitations of the bearings, which need about 3/4" and I wanted to avoid the end-user having to make square openings, which are a lot tougher than a round hole.

: However, I just gave this some thought and I have a solution, but it will add about $5 worth of labor to the unit.

: This design can be made to fit in any opening of 1 1/4" in diameter or less, on any thickness CP, however, it will increase the overall depth of the unit by about 3/4" and require that I provide a longer shaft.

: In short, you tell me the thickness of your CP and the type of knob you prefer and I will send you a completely assembled, ready to mount unit for your CP, similar to the one in the pic. Screw or bolt it in, attach the spinner nob, plug it into your computer and go. As long as the hole size in your CP does not exceed the diameter of the spinner knob, no top plate will be necessary.

: $47 + shipping for a custom sized unit.

: Good enough? :)

: If there are any other suggestions out there, please feel free to make them.

: Thanks,
: RandyT
