: I recently purchased a wingman warrior only to find out that the spinner doesn't use the mouse for it's spinner. SO I decided to FORCE it to use the mouse for the spinner. I bought a cheap mouse (9.99 at Radio Shack), taped the small circuit board inside the joystick, and soldered the wires coming from the small board that the spinner used to the decoder on the mouse. Being that the wires were already there for the serial port, I disconnected them from the joystick and connected them to the mouse circuit board. (I had to use a continuity checker to find out which four wires went where). Believe it or not, this worked!

Actually you only need a mousedriver! In pure dos after some experimenting with a couple of mousedrivers I got the spinner to work with one of them. Actually I don't remember precisly how I did it since for a long time know I just map the spinner to the mouse x-as with les 2.3 to command.com. This way it will work with all dos programs including mame as a mouse in a win95 dosbox.
