though I haven't tried my system with my arcade mon., I was looking around in BIOS setup and found I could change the text refresh rate to anywhere from 40Hz-80Hz Vertical sync. You might have simular settings in your Bios.

: : I'm currently busy (starting) with a PC2Jamma-project. I suddenly wondered how I could update my roms or do other things needed (like deleting mame.cfg when required).

: : I can ofcourse take out the HDD, and put it in my PC, but that's not what I'm looking for (obvious). Is it possible to go to the dos-prompt and see it on my arcade-monitor ?

: : I just bought an old T8900, for use with ArcadeOS, so is it possible to change the freq. for character-mode? Or will I have to write a prog in graphical 320x200-mode, which lets me execute commands ?

: : Pier

: When you exit out of the ArcadeOS front-end that the PC2JAMMA project uses you'll see a 320x200 mode DOS prompt. File manipulations are easy, but I haven't figured out how to edit files yet with this. The 'new' edit command switches to a different mode that doesn't work on the arcade monitor. Something like the *OLD* edline command would probably work.
