Trouble is that most pc joysticks are analog and keyboards are digital. So most games that only handle a joystick and no keyboard controls arent going to run well..

but not trying this.

all Windows machines can have the keyboards work as a mouse (through the special control whatever section). Then there are mouse -> joystick drivers. But I wouldn't expect to work well

: Hey folks,

: Got an interesting request, wondering if anything like this exists.

: I'm looking for a Win9x joystick driver (installed under game controllers) that looks like a joystick to Win9x, but instead is just a front for a keyboard interface. You can then map up, down, left, right, and 8 or so buttons on the stick to different keys on the keyboard.

: Why do I need this? Well, some games I'm putting into my cabinet are PC Win98 games, and only allow for one keyboard player and one joystick player. For head to head play, I'd need to have a simulated joystick installed that was just mapped to keys. If a driver like this exists, I'm set. I set one player to keyboard, another to joystick (just setting the virtual joystick to the keys I need for my second hotrod stick).

: Anyone think this is possible this way or any other way?

: Thanks,

: Brad
